HISTORIC HOTEL TOURING IN CARPI RATED “4 STAR SUPERIOR”
The historic Hotel Touring in Carpi, which is owned by the Molinari-Tarabini family and was built at the end of the 1950s and fully restyled in January 2003 according to state-of-the-art functional and aesthetic criteria for high-end hospitality, is the only hotel in Carpi to achieve the ambitious target of the “4 star superior” rating. The hotel has in fact undergone ongoing improvements and integrations of customer services during these years, gaining distinction with its sophisticated style and excellent amenities, fitting for a hotel that meets the current and future demands of the town of Carpi and its industry: three meeting rooms and an inner garden with pergola for organising events and meetings, a brand new fitness centre, 24-hour room service and personalised packages. The contemporary and minimalist interior design aims at a sophisticated elegance and the Blumarine style can be found in new luxury details (robes provided in the rooms, plasma screens, make-up mirrors, logo on tiles in the bathrooms and large poster with pictures from historic advertising campaigns). Delicate pastel shades in the 65 rooms: light blue for those in the west wing, green for those in the east wing, salmon pink for those in the centre wing. Warm light is diffused from shades in paper or fabric, while the furniture in wenge, bleached oak and matt laminate plays on the warm earth tones, ranging from various shades of sand to brown. Woven hemp mats decorate the new wood floors and large mirrors with wooden frames, floral decorations, ethnic and colonial accessories enhance the interiors of the common areas. The first floor is the location for the Bar Blu, cosy and welcoming for all occasions: breakfast in the morning and meeting and socialising in the evening. In addition to the sophisticated cocktails produced by barman Franco, themed events are planned with tastings of local wines and foods. The Ristorante Blu, managed by the famous family of restaurant owners Belloni&Belloni, (with restaurants in Portofino, Camogli, Genoa, Las Vegas, Barcelona and Hong Kong), offers elaborate specialities from Emilia and Liguria in an elegant and airy space with a refined mise en place. The Hotel Touring and the municipality of Carpi continue to work together on important events such as Carpi Grand Gourmet and the Philosophy Festival (planned for September) with special packages that include stays at the Hotel, guided tours of events or places of interest and tastings of local products.
